Isle of Rum
The post holder will support the operational delivery of the Rum Reserve Management Plan through undertaking practical estate management and practical deer and goat management and contributing to biological monitoring on the National Nature Reserve. You will actively assist with the practical management of other South Highland NNRs.
You must be proficient in wildlife and livestock management and hold the Deer Management Qualification 1 & 2 and a fire arms certificate or be willing to obtain these whilst in post. A valid driving licence or alternative means of accessing remote countryside sites is a must. As this role will involve working in rough terrain and inclement weather conditions the successful post holder must have a good level of physical fi tness, as well as relevant practical estate work experience. Finally, team working is a must with experience of using electronic records and document management systems, email, word and excel.
