Learning Community Technician (Technical), Carluke High School,
We require a Learning CommunityTeam Technician (Technical) to provide specialist support and advice complying with current and developing legislation and Codes of Practice in line with South Lanarkshire Council policy and procedures.
As a Technician you will operate a system of quality assurance for the Technicians service within the Learning Community. You will be required to maintain, repair, demonstrate and deploy equipment to support learning and teaching.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to provide a high level of customer care. You should be experienced in the use of computers and in particular with Microsoft Office. You will be flexible, adaptable and able to work in a school workshop/Lab, on your own or as part of a team and support teaching staff within the classroom.
Employment History/Foreign Police Check
Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.
This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003.
The successful candidate will be subject to a criminal records check provided by Disclosure Scotland.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
