Job Description The role of Health & Safety Co-ordinator within the Stirling Council Business Improvement and Compliance Team has become available. This is a full time post, 35hr week. This is an exciting and varied job opportunity to further your skills and development in the field of Occupational Health & Safety. The Local Authority sector is very diverse, challenging and rewarding, you will work closely with another H&S Co-ordinator to assist the Compliance H&S Team Leader in managing a dynamic centralised Corporate H&S Team, to ensure compliance with policies, processes, procedures and identifying areas of improvement across Stirling Council. You will be integral to the maintenance and development of an integrated management systems approach across the organisation operating to the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 standards. Key to this role will be enthusiasm, passion and energy to assist the Team Leader in providing competent instruction, guidance, support and advice in relation to Health & Safety matters to the Directors, Senior Managers, Service Managers and Staff. You will be a team player and have good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, operational issues, and meet the other requirements as detailed in the job description.
