An exciting opportunity at a senior level has arisen for a Digital Services Manager. In this key role within the ICT Leadership Team, you will take ownership for providing the primary interfaces with the ICT service users and customers. This includes responsibility for the Service Desk and other service management disciplines, building and maintaining operational relationships across the Council and managing service communications. This role will also be instrumental in supporting the delivery of the Councils Digital Transformation programme.
By working with business and ICT stakeholders, you will able to combine strategic vision with the delivery of operational results for the business. Through the application of ICT governance and security methodologies you will develop and implement service improvements, while managing risk appropriately. By understanding how the services provided by ICT can benefit business users in achieving their desired business outcomes, you will work with the service and suppliers to meet performance targets.
To do this, you must be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and preferably hold an ITIL or similar service management certification. You must strive for excellence through clear prioritisation, effective delegation and timeous delivery to achieve organisational goals and be used to articulating both business and technological strategies and concepts to a diverse audience with a wide range of experience and understanding.
Youmust be a methodical self-starter who is able to form positive relationships and deal with people confidently. You will need to have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, problem solving and organisational skills and be able to make change happen by inspiring, motivating and influencing others
