Located in St Margaret’s High School, Airdrie, you will provide a back-up Information and Communication Technology (ICT) service to all Departments and general care and maintenance of all ICT hardware and software. Your duties will include first line repair on all (non-leased) ICT equipment, cyclical maintenance and safety testing, operation of ICT equipment, assisting with production of ICT materials and maintaining equipment and repair registers. Furthermore you will provide support and advice to teaching staff in use of ICT equipment.
You must possess an HNC (or equivalent) in an ICT/Electrical related subject along with experience in the operation and maintenance of audio-visual and/or computing hardware and software. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with others as part of a team or on your own initiative and work closely and responsibly with children. Possession of a HND (or equivalent) in an ICT related subject is desirable as is experience with ICT in education and computer network environments.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
This is a temporary post for a period of up to 23 months.
