As part of a team, will ensure that cleaning of designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.Requirements
You will be responsible for cleaning designated areas, ensuring they are maintained to a clean/hygienic standard. Duties will include general cleaning in designated areas, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, buffing with industrial equipment and cleaning of sanitary areas.Responsibilities
“Cleaning, washing and … polishing” includes the use of all approved cleaning agents.
“Fixtures and Fittings” include all facilities within the establishment ie. cabinets, internal glass, curtains, blinds and telephones.
Keys may be held by a Cleaner, for the purpose of entering and leaving areas which require to be cleaned.
'Where alarms present there may also be a requirement to switch off when entering the building or setting the alarm when exiting.'
If employed as a Mobile Cleaner
You may be asked on a daily basis to move from one establishment to another to provide cover. Some degree of flexibility in working arrangements may be required.The Individual
