Early Years Practitioner
14 hours per week, Term time (13 hours permanent, with an additional 1 hour temporary up to 2 July 2018)
£19,731 – £21,355 / £21,958 - £24,038 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our existing team in the above Early Learning and Childcare setting. This will include working in a session and supporting the lunchtime for children aged 2 to 5 years.
To be appointed at G5:
You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy and you are also required to achieve an HNC in Early Education and Child Care, SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children & Young People) or other recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner (Day Care of Children) within 3 years of taking up post. You must also register with the SSSC, within 6 months of appointment to the post, as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children.
To be appointed at G6:
You should hold a recognised qualification e.g. HNC in Early Education and Child Care, SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children & Young People) or other recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner (Day Care of Children). You should also be registered with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children, or where new to employment as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children, register within 6 months of taking up post.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
