Care at Home
20 hours per week
£17,578 - £18,235 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We require a Clerical Assistant to join the Care at Home Service within Orkney Health and Care. The successful candidate will provide all aspects of administrative support to the Manager, Social Care Coordinators and the wider service as required.
Experience in general administrative, reception duties and in the use of computerised systems are essential. You will be skilled in the use of databases and spreadsheets. Duties will include processing and monitoring financial and payroll information, maintaining records, producing monthly returns within this varied, but demanding environment.
You will have a good understanding of office systems and procedures. You must be highly motivated and have a flexible approach to all aspects of work. Communication and organisational skills must be of the highest standard as you will be required to work as part of a team liaising with service users, families and home carers, social care coordinators and external agencies and professionals.
The successful candidate will hold an SVQ2 or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject.
