Pupil Support Officer
Salary: £20,159 - £24,029 (Pro-rata for part time, sessional 39 weeks)
Hours: 30 (Monday - Friday)
This is a new permanent post for the position of Pupil Support Officer at Rowanfield School. This position will play a key role in supporting the assessment, planning and direct support of children, young people and their families, promoting better relationships and understanding between school, children, young people and families. Applications are invited from people with initiative, are flexible and adopt a solution-focused approach for our children and their parents/carers. You will need enthusiasm, energy and resilience to provide the support our children need.
Experience of working in an educational environment with children with social, emotional and behavioural needs is essential, along with relevant qualifications, training and professional membership - see attached documents for further information.

It provides a multi-agency service for children with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
