Salary: £18194-£19910 per annum pro rata (£9.97-£10.91 per hour)

3 posts available as follows. All posts are term time (38 weeks per year) and are to start asap

Mon, Tues, Thurs 08:45-15:15, Wed 08:45-16:00 (less breaks) & Fri 08:45-12:15

27 hours 30 mins per week
Mon, Tues 08:45-15:00, Wed 08:45-16:00, Thurs 08:45-15:15 (less breaks) & Fri 08:45-12:00

Sanderson's Wynd is a vibrant, inclusive community school with many new learning opportunities on offer. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a passionate team of professional people. These posts are for ASN auxiliaries to work in a severe & complex needs unit catering for pupils between the age of 2-11 with severe and complex needs and ASD. Additional skills in moving & handling, epilepsy, signalong would be an advantage but not essential as training could be provided. Visits to the school are highly recommended.

To provide care and assistance to individuals and small groups of pupils with additional support needs.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education.
Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs.

Nursery Only: SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
