The Children's Disability Team works across East Lothian and provides specialist advice, assessment and support to children and young people, who have complex and enduring disabilities, and their families. The team also provides a family based respite service - Share the Care - to children, young people and their families.
We are looking to recruit a social worker with the knowledge and experience of working with complex situations and who can work under pressure. The post will involve both case management responsibility for children and young people with complex disabilities as well as a supervising social worker role for Share the Carers who provide our family based respite service. We are looking to recruit a team member, who has the knowledge and experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and who will bring a creative and "can do" approach to the post.
To provide an effective service to vulnerable children, young people and their families/carers, promoting a high standard of practice, in accordance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures.

Approved qualification in Social Work, and SSSC registration
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle*
