Dunrossness Primary School are looking for a Cook in Charge to lead our kitchen in planning, making and serving meals to its pupils, from pre-school to Primary 7 age. Based in the South Mainland, Dunrossness Primary School currently has a total of 111 primary pupils and 26 nursery pupils on the school roll. Which makes for a very busy kitchen!
The successful candidate will be responsible for:Skilled cooking activities connected with the full range of meals Menu planning - incorporating and ensuring that the Nutritional Standards required by the authority are implemented. Food preparation and cooking, and the provision of special dietary meals where appropriate, and the provision of meals on wheels if required. Operating within pre-set budgets, implementing portion control, purchasing and stock control. Operational control of service point including transported meals as appropriate.
