Staff Bank Lecturers (Built Environment)

Salary: £35,644 to £37,765 per annum (pro rata) (appointment is usually offered at the first point of the salary scale)

Hours: Various




Edinburgh College is looking to create a staff bank of suitable pre-screened candidates for cover for lecturing staff.

Joining the staff bank will not guarantee work but will look to match the skilled/experienced candidates to temporary assignments. Therefore on joining the staff bank there will be no guarantee of work/hours and no “mutuality of obligation”.

We currently have the following opportunities within the staff bank for:

Committed and enthusiastic lecturers in all craft; Roofing, Joinery, Painting, Stonemasonry , Brickwork, Plastering and Plumbing This post offers an opportunity to train and assess all aspects of craft qualifications to our apprentices and full time students.

Qualified to SCQF Level 6/7 in a relevant discipline and possessing a City and Guilds or SQA Advanced Construction Qualification, you will have a wide knowledge and experience of the curriculum area, and a basic knowledge of health and safety principles. Furthermore, you will have relevant experience in the industry as a time served apprentice in a relevant trade.
