Partnership are looking to recruit a permanent, full-time Lead Officer - Child Protection. The location for this post is negotiable.
PRINCIPAL ROLE:
To support Argyll and Bute Child Protection Committee in its key functions of continuous improvement, strategic planning, public information, communication and promoting high standards of inter-agency protection practice in Argyll and Bute.
MAIN FUNCTION:
To maintain an overview of inter-agency child protection activity in Argyll and Bute and take a lead role in ensuring continuous improvement. To work with key stakeholders in partnership agencies to promote effective inter-agency policy and practice.
To lead on the development of the Child Protection Business Plan and to support inter-agency working groups of the Child Protection Committee in carrying out the tasks outlined within the plan.

This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with children.
You will be required to participate in standby or other out of hour's service arrangements, as appropriate.
This post requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
