Job Description Temporary Lecturer – Construction & Motor Vehicle (Plumbing)


12 Hours per Week

Until June 2018

Salary: £27.91 - £35.88 per hour (dependent on experience)

Required Start: ASAP

West Lothian College is pleased to announce there is a vacancy in their dynamic, friendly and knowledgeable team within the Construction & Motor Vehicle centre, who are committed to the delivery of high quality teaching and a varied learning experience focussed on progression and employability.

Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and assessment of a range of courses from SCQF Level 4 to Level 6. A teaching qualification is desirable.

Applicants should have a SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and completed an apprenticeship training programme, as well as lecturing experience within the Construction & Motor Vehicle (Plumbing) sector.

Candidates that have been selected for interview will be required to deliver a 10–15 minute presentation, prepare a class lesson and undertake a competency based interview.

Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience. Candidates with limited/no lecturing experience will be placed on the first point of the scale. Please also detail your preferred number of working hours per week on your application form within the supporting statement.
