Lecturer in Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering
Part-time – 17.5 hours per week (11 hours teaching)
Location: Midlothian Campus
Salary: £35,644 to £37,765 per annum (pro rata) (appointment is usually made at the first point of the two point salary scale)
We are currently seeking an engineer with experience and skills in Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering to become a Lecturer.
The successful post holder will be required to deliver classroom theories subject matter within the faculty of Engineering between Engineering SCQF levels 5 to 8. The related subjects will be within mechanical, manufacturing, fabrication and welding which will include maintenance engineering related disciplines and workshop practices skills set.
The successful candidate will be required to meet the needs of progression for SFC (Scottish Funding Council) additional places content. The post holder will also take a lead role in improving Engineering and the use of VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you will possess knowledge of sustainable and new technologies and possess professional experience and up to date skills in Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering.
