Glasgow Caledonian University is working to implement a project which will enhance our arrangements for managing personal information to meet the requirements of new data protection legislation, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and work together to support the transformation required. The successful candidate will work at our modern campus, which has just undergone a £32 million redevelopment, in the heart of the vibrant and welcoming city of Glasgow.
We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced project manager to support our strategic project to prepare the University for compliance with GDPR and embed the requirements in business as usual processes. Our approach is to work collaboratively with the Academic and Professional Services teams, to understand, document and improve our processes.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and will have experience of project management and ideally will hold PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualifications or experience. Further essential criteria include a working knowledge, and enthusiasm for, privacy legislation including the existing Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation and good practice in information management.
We are looking for a project manager with exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal, who is able to demonstrate a successful track record in project management using structured methodologies to deliver large scale and cross boundary change projects.
