Salary £16187 - £17683 per annum pro rata (£8.87-£9.69 per hour)

Monday 10.00-17.00, Tuesday 10.00-13.00, Thursday 14.00-17.00 and alternate Saturdays 10.00-1300

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in Gullane Library. As a key member of staff you will be expected to assist with the delivery and development of services to our customers and the local community. You will be expected to take part in activities involving all ages from children to senior citizens.
To support the day to day delivery of front line customer and library services.

A minimum of SVQ 1/Standard Grade General level English/Maths or National 4 English/Maths or Literacy/Numeracy or Intermediate 1 Communication/Numeracy and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge/ skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
You will be required to undertake study to achieve Customer Service Professional Qualification Award and/or Certificate level qualification within 2 years of appointment to post.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
