Provide and develop an outcomes focused approach service which meets the assessed needs of individuals across Fife.

Assess need and risk to identify and implement appropriate interventions to enable individuals to maximise their independence.

Improve outcomes for service users by enabling the delivery of a seamless service

Provide a responsive and effective service through liaison with professions and health care workers in health and social care and voluntary organisations.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.


Diploma /BSc/BSc hons/ recognised post graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or equivalent. 

Before your offer of employment can be confirmed, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland. 

It is essential that you are registered with HCPC – previously HPC.


You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of adults and older people.

You will assess need and risk working with people in their home environments, using an outcome focused approach.

You will make recommendations for intervention to meet assessed need and risk in accordance with eligibility criteria.

You will be expected to establish effective working relationships with service users, cares, other professionals and third sector as required.

There may be a requirement to take on a supervisory role with Occupational Therapy support staff.

Any other reasonable duties identified as required to meet the demands on the Occupational Therapy service.

You may be required to work at different office bases.

The Individual

You will be professionally qualified and registered with HCPC.

You require experience in working with older people and/or adults with disabilities.
