School Nutrition & Improvement Officer (Temporary)

You will be responsible for the delivery of The Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2007 and all subsequent legislative amendments to the Nutrition Bill legislation.
Deliver all legislative documents to our partners in CYPLL and the NHS and Create a Better Eating, Better Learning Action Plan.
Develop; create and analyse new menus according to legislation set by the Scottish Government for both primary and secondary pupils, whilst continually promoting our Naturally D&G brand.
Develop and analyse bespoke menus for special and/or cultural or religious diets.
Assist with the development of links between the nutritional aspects of the school curriculum and food provided as part of the school meals service.
Regular travel to visit various locations throughout the region is part of this remit. This may involve working out with core hours.
A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
This is a temporary post for a period of up to 2 years. This post may be suitable for attachment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
