An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Team Manager to join our team based in Caithness. Reporting into the Regional Manager, you will be part of the Management Team responsible for the day to day running of the Caithness Distribution Network. You will be involved in the management of New Business projects, Distribution Maintenance and Overhead Line Inspection and refurbishments. You will monitor the progress of working carried out by the Connections Delivery Team Managers, ensuring operational excellence against budget and performance objectives. This will include highlighting any problem or risk areas, monitoring and managing associated budgets, liaising with stakeholders such as contractors and Wayleaves, and providing project analysis as and when required.
You’ll maintain a high-level technical understanding of the team’s responsibilities, and will lead the team in all safety family values, as well as ensuring team managers have all the required training and development opportunities. In addition, you’ll work with your managers, and others in the business to prepare and deliver connections business plans, ensuring high levels of accuracy, and then seeing these plans through to implementation and completion.
To ensure you get the most from your role, and our customers receive the highest standard of service, you will have previous experience working as a Team Manager with a track record of safety, service and efficiency, along with excellent communication skills. You will have a sound knowledge of the Distribution Network and experience in the maintenance, refurbishment and supply restoration on the Network. In addition, you’ll have a keen eye for detail; whether this is reviewing technical material, or reviewing processes for improvement opportunities. SAP authorisation is preferred but not essential.
