Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.Requirements
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.Responsibilities
Duties include social, emotional and practical support of people in a community based setting, including all aspects of personal care and moving and handling tasks.
You will contribute towards the development of personal support plans in compliance with the National Care Standards, the SSSC Codes of Practice and Fife Council policies, procedures and guidelines.The Individual
Previous experience of working along with people with disabilities is essential.
You should have the ability to work flexibly as support is provided in the evenings and weekends as well as daytime.
You should be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of related communication skills and deliver these in a manner which person centred.
You must have the ability to undertake Moving and Handling training.
