The CLD service believes that our communities are full of individuals and groups who want to make a positive contribution to improve the quality of life for all. We are seeking a CLD practitioner with experience in facilitating authentic community engagement and in helping community organisations to form and develop
Fraserburgh is one of three places in Aberdeenshire where Localities Plans are being developed to address inequalities. As part of our Community Development team you will have the chance to increase involvement in groups and decision making processes and to ensure that our less powerful or networked communities are able to participate as full and equal partners.
We welcome applications from suitably qualified CLD practitioners who are eligible for full membership of the CLD Standards Council.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
