Then there are landscaped ponds brimming with wildlife, beautiful Spring carpets of bluebells, borders of warm colours, terraced walks and elegant lawns. Beyond the formal and woodland gardens there is the open hill which supports sporting activities, wildlife and nature conservation (there are two SSSI sites on our estate with Sea and Golden eagle nesting sites).
This is a genuinely exciting time to be joining our team at Armadale with this new post signalling our commitment to the future of the gardens, recognising the significant part they play in the overall success of the Trust.
Rarely does there come an opportunity to play a leading role in the management and development of such an historically significant garden. The scale and setting of the gardens will mean that there is the potential to develop planting schemes, create new areas of gardens, support smaller projects for nature conservation and art installations, and perhaps be instrumental in the foundation of a national collection.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and talented gardener to showcase their talents in a genuinely stunning garden.
