Fernlea Care Centre, Whalsay
Isleshavn Care Centre, Yell
Montfield Support Services, Lerwick
Nordalea Care Centre, Unst
North Haven Care Centre, Brae
Overtonlea Care Centre, Levenwick
Support at Home Central, Lerwick
Wastview Care Centre, Walls

Members of the relief bank will be contacted on an ‘as and when required’ basis to provide cover, for example due to staff absence. Although we will aim to give as much notice as possible, you may be asked to work at short notice.

Applications will be assessed against the criteria in the Person Specification for the post (copy attached to the advert). Suitable applicants will be invited to interview and recruitment checks such as references, PVG Scheme membership, verification of qualifications and proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be carried out before applicants are placed on the relief bank.

Additional Information Rate of pay shown is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.0846 Employees on the first point of grade C will be paid a Scottish Living Wage supplement of £0.50 per hour, the hourly rate will be £8.51 (exclusive of Distant Islands allowance) Employees on the first point of grade D will be paid a Scottish Living Wage supplement of £0.03 per hour, the hourly rate will be £8.51 (exclusive of Distant Islands allowance) Hours of work will be as and when required Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update The successful candidate may have to complete registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of the agreed start date A relocation package does not apply to this post We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland The successful candidate will be subject to satisfactory Pre-Employment Medical screening with our Occupational Health provider Not suitable for Job Share Not suitable for Remote Working
