About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the operational delivery of large-scale projects and complex change in a large organisation. You will report to the Executive Director, as Head of Operational Support within the Communities and Families Directorate at the City of Edinburgh Council.
Specific responsibility for developing the strategic direction, policy and practice for the key services including:major capital project implementation, including new schools and other community facilities schools’ estate planning statutory consultations and catchment reviews client management, home to schools’ management playground management.
You will be required to identify opportunities for continual improvement, and manage and develop resources to ensure best value with joined-up, customer-focussed, service design and delivery.
You will play a leading role in the successful delivery of a series of projects within the Communities and Families Capital Programme. These projects will address the educational infrastructure requirements of the Local Development Plan and ongoing school replacement and refurbishment requirements.
