Marine Harvest supplies healthy, delicious and sustainably farmed salmon and processed seafood to more than 70 markets worldwide.  In 2016 harvest volumes of salmon were 381,000 tonnes (GWE).

Due to the current incumbent leaving the Company, we currently have a vacancy for a multi skilled and self-motivated Engineer to work within our Seawater area. Working in a seawater environment you will be in an autonomous role and have responsibility for supervising all planned preventative and reactive maintenance and ensuring that all plant and equipment, including generators and work boats are maintained to the highest possible level. In addition, you will be required to investigate all possible areas for improved plant utilisation and output and be required to undertake specific projects and industry training on net cleaning systems, and other key equipment.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Experience of servicing and maintaining a wide variety of marine equipment
  • Experience of servicing forklift trucks and cranes
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulics and 12v/24v electrics
  • Detailed awareness of appropriate Health & Safety and MCA regulations
  • Competent knowledge of computers
  • Good communication skills
  • Driving licence is essential.
