We are a rapidly developing multi-site business and market leading UK company within the timber industry, employing over 1200 people and with a Group turnover in excess of £300m. We have ten profit centres across the UK and one in Latvia, We are BSW.
Working alongside a team of engineers, under the leadership of our Maintenance Team Leaders and Manager, you’ll enjoy troubleshooting and testing equipment, control systems and software, whilst assisting with the repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical machinery. Day to day, this will involve undertaking a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance duties, as well as identifying solutions that will improve systems efficiency and reduce costs.
Having served an electrical engineering apprenticeship, preferably completed within an industrial/manufacturing environment, you’ll have some experience of PLC systems and ideally hold C&G (or equivalent) and 17th Edition IEE Regulations qualifications. In addition, we expect basic mechanical skills, a good understanding of computer-based systems and software, plus a willingness to help drive the business forward by implementing new technology and systems.
