Job Description Based at Employment Support Service, Employment Unit, Dunsinane Avenue, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. We have three posts available: 2 x permanent, 1 x temporary for 30 months. Please indicate in your application which post(s) you are interested in. Previous applicants need not re-apply. Requirements You will be educated to HNC level, or any other relevant qualification which provides evidence of academic achievement to or above SCQF Level 7, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience. Responsibilities You will assess the needs of individuals with disabilities, health problems and other significant barriers to employment and assist such clients identify, secure and maintain appropriate employment or prepare and train to participate in appropriate employment. You will contribute to a seamless approach in dealing with clients and other functions of the Employment Support Service to deliver an effective and efficient service. The Individual You will provide a professional support service to a client group, be able to demonstrate experience of self-directed working, and of working effectively in a team. You will also have organisational and time management skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
