Job Description

Development Officer (0.4FTE) - Family Learning and Engagement

Location: Education Resources, Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA

Salary: £16,567 - £17,890 Education Support Officer Scale Point 1 to 3 (initial placement will reflect experience and competence)

Fixed Term - 23 months

We are looking for a Development Worker (0.4FTE) to work in co-operation with quality improvement officers, the Family Learning and Engagement Officer (0.6) and others in the education service, to raise standards in schools;

You will help support the development and co-ordination of the Family Learning and Parental Engagement strategy within South Lanarkshire Council.

The suitable candidate for this exciting role will be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of the key challenges facing Education Resources. A broad outline of duties for each post is shown on the attached Job Profile.

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
