The Executive Manager – Community Care Resources reports to the Director Community Health & Social Care, and is a member of both the extended Corporate Management Team of the Council and the Directorate Management Team. The Directorate brings together Community Health & Social Care services, using legislation that drives integration and joint working. The Executive Manager takes collective responsibility along with the Director and other Managers for directorate decision making and support to Elected Members and Integration Joint Board (IJB) Members in determining the Council and IJB’s overall strategic objectives and priorities.
Lead, direct and manage an efficient and effective Community Care Resources Service in accordance with the Council’s values, objectives, targets and statutory obligations. This includes the following functions: care at home residential care, respite care, day services, supported accommodation, reablement and palliative care.
Provide professional advice to the Council, IJB, Chief Executive and Director and to ensure the Council fulfils all statutory requirements and implements policies in respect of Community Care Resources Services.
