Falkirk Council is seeking to recruit an Inclusion Support Worker with a specialism in Sports or Outdoor Education who is a highly skilled practitioner, committed to delivering the very best experiences for our children and young people.
The key policy document for Falkirk schools is Learning to Achieve. This was co-created by head teachers, teachers, early year’s practitioners, support staff, parents/carers, pupils and other partners. It sets out clearly our aims for all learners.
Successful applicants will have:
• A relevant further education qualification and have experience of coaching young people in a number of adventure activities. You must hold at least 3 of the following National Govern Body Awards: WGL/ LLA/ ML (Summer), SPA or Climbing Wall Award, Level 2 coach in paddlesports, Mountain Bike Leader/ Trail Cycle Leader, Archery, RYA sailing instructor awards.
• Be able to demonstrate that they possess the commitment, knowledge and skills outlined in SSSC code of Practice.
Successful applicants who progress to the next stage of the recruitment process will be invited to attend:
• A formal interview, focussing on your knowledge of GIRFEC and social/emotional needs.
