Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.
Working as part of the Leisure & Culture Dundee lifeguard team on a casual basis. You will be required to work at Leisure & Culture Dundee Swim Centres.
When work is available you will be contacted. There is no obligation on Leisure & Culture Dundee to offer you work, nor are you obliged to accept work. The rate of pay is £8.01 per hour. A Living Wage supplement will be applied up to the equivalent of £8.51 per hour, as appropriate
You must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and willing to attend programmed staff training sessions.Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibility for effectively addressing operational issues, health and safety matters and customer-focused facilities/services/activities relating to Lifeguard roles/duties and pools/environs at Olympia or Lochee.The Individual
You must be approachable, reliable and have the ability to motivate others. You must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to undertake training opportunities for the purposes of both personal and service development. You will have excellent communication skills to work within a team and have the ability to organise sessions and time effectively. You will be required to follow Health and Safety guidelines, Safe Systems of Work and complete Daily Checklists as part of your duties.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to work being offered by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
