Due to the current incumbent moving to another post in the Company, we currently have a vacancy for a Farm Technician at our seawater site on the Isle of Colonsay.
The successful applicant will be responsible for general site and boat work associated duties including containment checks, Barge feeding, net washing, basic maintenance and other general farm tasks as required. Reporting to both Boatman/Skipper and Farm Managers. Must be willing to work flexibly to meet the demands of the farm and the conditions.
Working pattern is a two week on/off rota. Accommodation will be provided on the Island if required during shift.
Applications are invited from individuals who have a positive approach to this type of work and who are competent swimmers. Experience is certainly an advantage although training will be provided. Driving licence is essential.
