We're looking for an experienced Defined Benefit focussed pensions administrator to join the GMP (Guaranteed Minimum Pension) Reconcilation team in our Glasgow office, on a permanent basis. You will work as part of the dedicated team responsible for operational delivery, analysis and communication of GMP related project work.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Effectively manages allocated GMP project work.

  • Provides a timely, efficient, professional and personal service to meet the needs of all our internal and external client/members and agreed project deliverables / service levels.

  • Completes all project deliverables and administration processes in accordance with TPA target service levels and timescales.

  • Works with the pensions administration teams in order to correctly apply GMP requirements to their schemes.

  • May check work produced by team members.

  • Prepares administration or project updates

  • Liaises with the Team Leader and Senior Administration Consultant to ensure that all work is charged, in particular, any requests outside the agreed client fee basis.

  • Ensures the standard complaint procedure is followed.

  • Undertakes additional specific projects as and when required.

Skills / Knowledge:-

  • Proven experience of day-to-day pension administration and working on DB/DC and CARE pension arrangements, gained in a client relationship focused environment.

  • Up to date knowledge of relevant pension legislation, regulatory body procedures and technical developments affecting pension administration and industry best practice.

  • Good understanding of Data Protection legislation, the Information Commissioner, HMRC Limits, the Pensions Regulator, rules and regulations and recent legislative changes.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Good IT skills, including working with Microsoft Office applications and experience of a pension administration system or system(s) with a similar purpose.
