Hours: 35 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm)

Reports to:             Local Manager – Housing Services

Responsible for:      No other staff

Job Purpose

To provide a good quality support service to tenants and residents within the Association’s housing estates in Oban and the surrounding area

Main Objectives of Post

To assist in ensuring that the Association maintains high levels of customer service and satisfaction within the housing estates in Oban and the surrounding area

Principal Duties


Carry out regular environmental area patrols to pick litter and clear minor litter spillages as necessary

Carry out regular close inspections and enforce tenancy conditions relating to cleaning rotas, cleanliness, repair and maintenance of common areas within the area

Carry out small environmental improvement projects within the area, under the guidance of the Local Manager – Housing Services

Record and report repairs to items such as door handles, lights and broken glass

Record and report estate management issues such as graffiti, illegal dumping and abandoned cars

Carry out edging and verging of footpaths and other common areas as necessary

Keep accurate records of all issues identified within the area and what action has been taken to resolve these issues

Respect the confidentiality of clients, colleagues and other Departments/Agencies at all times


Comply with and promote the Association's Vision and Values, Code of Conduct and professional standards by behaving in a professional manner at all times.

Ensure all statutory and Association regulations are followed, including Health & Safety, in order to protect customers, employees and the business interests of the Association

No job description can cover every issue which may arise within the post at various times and the postholder is expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with those described.

• Access to a vehicle insured for business use
