A Senior Worker is required by the Forth Valley Accredited Programmes Team to oversee and deliver Group Work Programmes and 1:1 / 2:1 offence focused interventions. The main focus of this post is to provide Moving Forward: Making Changes (MF:MC) for sex offenders and Caledonian Men’s Programme for perpetrators of domestic abuse.
You will work in partnership with Criminal Justice Teams across Forth Valley to select participants for the Programmes, prepare them for group work, deliver group work sessions, monitor progress and manage risk. You must have an understanding and experience of working with offenders. It would also be an advantage if you hold accreditation in any of the accredited programmes. The Programmes are integrated with other services, in particular the Caledonian System requires close working with women and children’s services staff.
You will be experienced and skilled worker, with recent experience of accredited groupwork delivery. You will have a sound knowledge base in relation to statutory Criminal Justice Social Work and have a good awareness of effective practice with offenders. It is essential that you hold a DipSw or equivalent qualification and registration with SSSC. It would also be an advantage if you hold accreditation in risk assessment tools such as SA07 and LCSMI. You will have access to regular supervision and training.
The recruitment process for this post will consist of a structured interview and a practical exercise.
