Job Introduction

We are looking for a Sales & Event Administrator to join the Sodexo team at Hamilton Park race course, to help with the management of all conference and event enquiries and bookings. This is a varied role involving a range of events activities from the bookings, arranging through to invoicing. In this role you will respond to a range of enquiries from people looking at holding events at the race course, helping to identify customer needs and provide the right solutions to them. Building relationships with customers will be key to this role and would suit a passionate, articulate individual with an interest in the events industry.

Role Responsibility

This exciting position involves not only the promotion of the venue but managing bookings for Christmas parties and showing round potential wedding customers, gaining an insight into all aspects of events at the venue. In addition you will handle enquiries and help grow the business by conducting research, looking for potential new customers and local contacts. Part of the role will also involve following up with leads and previous customers to promote the venue for future events.

Taking event bookings, you will ensure all the information is recorded on to the relevant systems, issue paperwork to the clients and ensure invoicing is correct. In addition you will supporting with the event set up, from creating seating plans, managing the food and beverage orders, creating event signage and name cards. Confidence is important in this role as you will also be showing potential customers round the venue, highlighting all the benefits and opportunities. Assisting on certain event days will also require some flexibility to work weekends.
