To deliver Learn to Swim classes at all levels and supervise all swimming pool users and ensure their safety by adhering to the facility Normal Operation Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.Requirements
Minimum UKCC Level 2 Teacher of Aquatics / ASA , Full Teacher of Swimming or equivalent.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure ScotlandResponsibilities
The applicant will undertake the following responsibilities:Deliver fun and innovative swimming lessons to children and adults of all abilities, in line with the Scottish Swimming (SASA) Learn to Swim Programme Utilise continuous assessment methods to observe, analyse and record progress of swimmers. Promote the Learn to Swim Programme Operate in accordance with the organisation guidelines, policies and procedures. Observe operational and health and safety procedures to ensure appropriate management of vulnerable groups. The Individual
It is essential that the applicant has:Minimum UKCC Level 2 Teacher of Aquatics / ASA , Full Teacher of Swimming or equivalent. Ability to teach swimmers of all levels from complete beginner to stroke development level. Good levels of customer care. Able to work alone and as part of a team. Good level of Interpersonal and Communication skills.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, punctual and motivated person who is confident working with the public and in a team. Leisure environment experience is desirable with flexibility and good organisational skills.
