Due to the current incumbent moving to another post in the Company, we currently have a vacancy for an Environmental Technician within our Environment Team.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out a variety of duties to support the work of the Environment Team. The range of duties will include current meter deployment and retrieval and the initial processing of collected data, undertaking depth surveys, equipment repair and maintenance and site visit preparation. The successful candidate will be required to assist with the collection and processing of environmental samples, collected from the seabed and water column.
The role will involve a considerable amount of travel to sites, and the successful candidate must be willing to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job. Work experience of environmental issues in the fish farming industry, computer literacy and an organised approach to work is essential. Training will be provided, and a current driving licence is essential.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis and you will be required to work a flexible 40 hour week, which infrequently may require some weekend work/travel.
