Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist with providing a high quality repairs and building maintenance service

To commit to undertake a range of plumbing and gas training courses in order to become a fully qualified gas engineer

Main Objectives

To assist in carrying out repairs and building maintenance works to a high quality standard.

To assist in carrying out regular property and estate inspections as directed.

Principal Duties

To attend college and undertake plumbing and gas training courses which the Company identify as necessary to become a fully qualified gas engineer

To assist with the repair and maintenance of houses and other properties, appropriate to your skills

To assist in undertaking cyclical maintenance tasks

To assist in carrying out property condition inspections and report on any faults or defects

To assist in carrying out regular property and estate inspections and liaise with others on any works required

To assist in carrying out daily vehicle and plant / machinery checks and report any defects to the Safety and Plant Manager

To be responsible for the maintenance and safekeeping of all tools, personal protective equipment and any other equipment provided to you by the Company

To accurately record and report on the outcome of works orders issued, including the continuous updating of schedule status and the completion of daily time sheets

To conduct customer satisfaction surveys

To participate in shift pattern working and assist with out of hours call outs as required


To comply with the Company’s code of conduct and professional standards by behaving in a professional manner at all times.

To ensure all statutory and Company regulations are followed, including Health & Safety, in order to protect customers, employees and the business interests of the Company

To attend and participate in Tool Box talks and training organised by the Company

To participate in the bi-annual Personal Development Plan process and take responsibility for personal continuous improvement
