Working as our new Credit Controller within our professional and well established Credit Control department, based in Kirkintilloch you will be responsible for reducing overdue customer balances. This will be done through the efficient management of debtor accounts, accurate reporting and use of your excellent relationship management skills to effectively liaise with branches, customers and suppliers.
Time management is key working in this busy team as you will be utilising inbound and outbound calling, email and the internal system to negotiate the collection of overdue debt. Utilising your level-headedness and proactive approach to your work you will feel comfortable challenging established processes and be constantly striving for improvement.
Alongside the above you will also be responsible for:
Working closely with Branch & Sales teams to grow profits.
Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments in line with the company credit policy.
Ensuring that all outstanding invoice disputes are resolved and payment is collected.
Reducing late payments and bad debt.
Reviewing customer accounts, approving credit limits and escalating those that have exceeded limits and where appropriate liaise with senior staff.
Escalation and reporting on all high risk accounts.
