This support role requires good customer service, responding to support calls and working with the team in the management of the SITS system.  The successful candidate will have an HND or higher, in IT or a related subject.

Experience in the SITS:Vision system would be desirable but equivalent experience in configuring and developing business systems will be considered as training in the specific functionality of SITS:Vision will be available. A working knowledge of relational databases is essential to the post. You will have experience in designing technical developments and integrations with other systems, defining and implementing workflows to streamline and automate business processes. You will be comfortable configuring standard business system type functionality such as menus, workflows, web forms or vistas and outputs such as standard reports and letters and assigning these to different groups of users.

Working in a small team you will be expected to build and maintain good relationships with UHI Executive Office and Academic Partner customers and have the ability to work under their own initiative when required.  This will require some element of travelling to UHI Academic Partner sites throughout the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

The role holder must have a strong understanding of the importance of change and quality control, creating supporting documentation, testing, release management and transitioning projects into service. The role holder must also have demonstrable experience of providing realistic work estimates and plans, whilst dealing with conflicting and competing priorities to allow themselves and their colleagues to meet set deadlines.
