Working within the university Corporate Resources department, the successful candidate will provide programme and contract management skills and expertise in the Grants and Contracts team.  The key objective of the post is to provide expert support to the university academic and support community in the delivery of post-award grant management for a diverse portfolio of funders, programmes and projects.

This senior post will be a key member of the Grants & Contracts team.  As well as being a key support for colleagues, the post holder will work alongside other senior colleagues to identify, develop and implement improvement initiatives and strategies that serve both the team and the university needs.

The role includes providing eligibility advice and in-depth diligence, effective and compliant record management, providing effective reporting and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in a project/programme environment who has an understanding of the issues involved in monitoring projects to a funding profile. Excellent problem solving, communication and ICT skills are essential and applicants must demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to develop good working relationships across a complex organisation. Self-motivation, enthusiasm and persistence are key qualities required for this role.
