Becoming a CHANGE MANAGER with Capita IT Services in Glasgow

The Change Manager will ensure that all changes to configurations for applications, network devices and other systems providing internal and external services are managed in a controlled manner to reduce the impact to business processes and services. As this is an internal and external consultancy role, some travel to customer sites may be required.

What you will do:

  • Accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing operation of the Change Management policies and processes in line with the Capita Networking Solutions (CNS) customer contracts. Ensuring processes are fit for purpose and continually reviewed and improved.

  • Ensure that all change requests are completed and processed within SLA, categorized correctly and approved by the correct person(s).

  • Pro-actively identify, escalate and monitor any change requests that are in danger of falling outside of SLA.

  • Carry out regular quality checks on the changes raised to ensure documentation and testing has been completed as agreed.

  • Provide regular change performance reports for the Network Operations Director.

  • Identify, implement and maintain a control architecture to ensure that changes to (and Commissioning of) applications, network devices and other systems are managed according to regulatory and / or contractual obligations (including impact analysis, testing plans and regression plans).

  • Chair the weekly Change Approval Board meetings to represent and approve from a technical service perspective.

  • Development of training and awareness programmes specific to Change Management for both CNS and third party staff and also clients.

  • Support Service Delivery Management with relevant and timely information and reports

  • Ensure the change process documentation is regularly reviewed and updated where required.

Your experience will include:

  • ITIL V3 Foundation required

  • ITIL Intermediate modules such as Change Management Practitioner or Service Transition desirable

  • Previous Change Management experience.

  • Networking background desirable

  • ISO20000 awareness. Exposure desirable

  • Knowledge of Wide Area Networks (WAN) / general networking.
