About the Role

The End User Computing (EUC) 3rd Line Support Team Leader will report to the Senior Service Manager within EIS and will be responsible for the support team who provide support to our three partner organisations on all aspects of End User Computing including Active Directory, Build creation and management, patching and software packaging and deployment. They will manage the workload of the team and will be responsible for the people management of the team members. This is also a hands-on role and the Team Leader will take on the more complex support tasks and will manage the proactive monitoring of the End User Computing environment.

You will initially work as part of the project team to create and roll out a Win10 build and new laptops to Skills Development Scotland and will, in the future, work with project teams to implement new or improved services in the End User Computing space.

The role will be based in SDS office in Glasgow although by exception there may be travel required within Scotland in support of local roll out or ongoing issues.

About You

The successful candidate will be educated to HND or SCQF Level 8 in an IT related subject or have comparable work experience in an IT environment. In addition you will have experience of managing/supervising a small team as well as hands on experience of supporting End User Computing environments. It is essential that you have a flexible and pragmatic approach and do not allow process to block progress. You will enjoy working as part of small, friendly and dedicated team committed to delivering a quality product to our end users.
