Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Technician within the Carpentry and Joinery Team.
What we can offer you
The Faculty of Built Environment delivers a wide range of education and training across the college. This post is key in ensuring that staff and students are appropriately supported with preparation of learning materials for the carpentry and joinery curriculum.
As part of this role you will be required to carry out routine maintenance of equipment and will be expected to ensure equipment is maintained correctly and operated in accordance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW). Furthermore, you will also be required to assist in training and supervision of any new technician and/or work experience students.

What you can offer us
Educated to at least SVQ Level 3 in a relevant wood machining discipline, you will have knowledge of health and safety working practices and be able to demonstrate good ICT and communication skills. Experience of providing advice and information is essential, while industry experience would be desirable
While Granton campus is the main base, the successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
