CAITHNESS WEST COMMUNITY NURSING TEAM COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE SUPPORT WORKER (BAND 2) (Salary £16,532 - £18,903 pro-rata) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Community Healthcare Support Worker, to work within the West Caithness Community Nursing Team, based in Thurso Community Health Centre. This post will assist our Community Nursing Team to deliver care within patients' home environments. The role involves clinical skills being delivered in the community setting and you must be able to demonstrate continued personal development. You will have good communication, time management and organisational skills. You will need to have the ability to work alone and on your own initiative, but still be a team player. You must be adaptable, self-motivated and able to respond to the challenges that this role will provide. Relevant experience working within a community environment would be advantageous. Further training in specific areas of clinical nursing care and skills will be available. This is a permanent part-time post of 20 hours per week, currently working over 5 mornings, covering a 7-day rota including weekends, however this is subject to change in order to meet with expansion of service provision. A current driving licence is also essential for this post as is use of your own car, you will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the service.
