Located within the Development Division of Partnership & Services for Communities, East Lothian Works offers a range of employability services across East Lothian.
Based within the adult employability team, the post will support the development and delivery of a range of short courses and provision. Post holders will deliver our existing range of successful personal development and employability courses where learning is an integral part of our delivery as well as develop new employability options.
We are a small team of experienced professionals who place particular emphasis on integrating core skills within programmes and providing innovative projects to meet the needs of individuals and the employment market.

To promote, organise, develop and deliver employability and core skills provision within East Lothian in accordance with East Lothian’s One Council Approach, the East Lothian Plan, the Single Outcome Agreement and Scotland’s Literacies Curriculum Framework Guidelines: learning, teaching and assessment.

Degree in Community Education/Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (Adult Literacies) or equivalent.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
