You have a minimum NNEB, SNNB, HNC in Child Care and Education or an SVQ level 3 in Early Education and Childcare. You should have the ability to demonstrate a sound awareness of child development and learning through play in an Early years environment . You should also have experience in an Early years setting such as experience working in the local authority, voluntary or private sector and a willingness to develop professional expertise .
This post enables the Council to fulfil its obligation in ensuring quality provision in Early Years run by the local authority, private and voluntary sectors. Working in the Early years team you will provide support for quality development and implementing the national and local policies.
This is a Children’s Service Network (CSN) post, working within the Meldrum area and other CSN locations as and when required.
Interviews for this post are expected to be held week commencing 2 July 2018.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
